Project Overview

Catchy & Fresh

While on DAY Vision’s design team, I was on the team producing two YouTube ads for Adventure Explorations. The first ad was promoting their Fall 4 Adventure campaign, centered around getting urbanites into the wild. The second ad, For Women By Women, was focused on adventures led by female-only teams hosting all-female parties to empower and strengthen young women interested in nature.

Process

Lead Editor

For both ads, I held the role of lead editor. After the team and I fleshed out the rough storyboard for what the ads needed to do, I was tasked with making the magic happen. Using Adobe After Effects, and lots and lots of raw footage I was able to create 2 amazing ads for the client who loved them. The Fall4 Adventure ad went on to be the most successful video on their channel with over 30 thousand views!

The Final Product

The Day Vision Team and I were very proud of how both ads came out and we’re proud of how successful they’ve gone on to become.

Project Overview

The Show Must Go On

While working on the Boat show with the rest of the team, the task of making it work in the middle of the pandemic fell on everyone’s shoulders. I found myself in multiple roles during the production, from helping with website design, spearheading the game branding/elements, email marketing, and creating motion graphics for behind-the-scenes action before the show.

Process

The Treasure Chest Giveaway

Every year Highway Marine hosts a treasure chest giveaway where show attendees can try their luck at winning various prizes. In 2021 the game was moved online for the first time due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and we had to make it just as exciting. I was tasked with making most of the game elements. In the effort of timeliness, elements were combinations of stock illustration and custom designs to create a professional and fun game for the show. The client and team we’re extremely impressed with what I was able to create.

A Show To Remember

Working with the team at DAY Vision Marketing on this project was a great challenge from start to finish, but all our efforts paid off and the show went off without a hitch from the live stream to the in-person coordination, to the film crew to the game, and much more.

The core goal of the Inspire campaign was to reach multiple nationalities and unite humanity for the good of space exploration. The children of today are the astronauts who will be helping the effort to colonize Mars. We need to do everything we can to nurture the wonder of space in children.

Sound Design

Bring The Bang

While editing the footage for this teaser trailer study, some original audio was not crisp enough to fit well with the overlaid music, or there was already a conflicting sound score. Because of this extensive research was done finding new sound effects to edit into some scenes. Most firearm sound effects were re-added to the audio which required finding matching sounds from the same firearms to maintain a believable effect.

This teaser trailer is designed to prep you for the heart-stopping action for the 80’s action spoof Kung Fury. The style of the trailer perfectly fits with the base content of the movie. Those cheesy scene changes, rasterized graphics, and the VHS quality we all remember are artificially added to immerse you into the story fully.
